The Rotary
Club of New York
Fellow Rotarians,
Many New York
Rotarians attended Joe Sullivan’s funeral on Wednesday August 7th at 10:00 AM
at St Agnes Catholic Church in New York. It was a beautiful ceremony and a
heartfelt farewell to a great New York Rotarian. Joe was always willing to
help, even on his 85th birthday, when the Sisters of Fraternite
Notre Dame asked him to help out in the soup kitchen, while preparing his surprise
birthday party. You can find Joe’s obituary in the Bulletin.
The speaker at our next meeting on August 13th
will be Beth Gilinsky, who is the founder of the Jewish Action Alliance, the
nation’s leading grassroots Jewish civil and human rights program. You can read
more about Beth Gilinsky in the Bulletin at www.newyorkcityrotary.org/Bulletin/bulletin081302.pdf.
Dave Gibbs, wrote the Reporter of the Week in
the Bulletin about the last meeting’s great program.
The Bulletin tells us that the Board of
Directors approved Anders Eggen and Ivan Vosloo as new members. Anders’
